Youโ€™re in a leadership role, facing big decisions, and
your beliefs are holding you back.

Hereโ€™s the thing:

๐—ช๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ปโ€™๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜€ ๐—ธ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜„๐—ฒโ€™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ.

Why?

Because we operate based on beliefs and assumptions
that have been shaped by our past experiences.

Hereโ€™s the kicker:

๐—ช๐—ฒโ€™๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฎ ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ.

Take this example from my career:

-> I used to think I had to know the “right” answer before
speaking up in meetings.

-> I thought others expected me to have it figured out.

-> I didnโ€™t want to look stupid.

What did I realize?

  • Sharing perspective isn’t about being right or wrong.
  • Itโ€™s about bringing diverse views to the table.

But that belief held me back for years.

How many of your beliefs might be wrong or outdated
for the role youโ€™re in now?

  • Whatโ€™s keeping you from acting?
  • What assumptions are you carrying around?

Then you test them to see if theyโ€™re true.

  • Still valid for this context? Keep them.
  • No longer valid for the context? Get rid of them.
  • Adopt new ones that empower growth and progress.
