Coach Brandon Jenkins discusses and writes about finding your default mode.

Tough times reveal your default mode.

Do you get anxious?
Withdraw?
Overreact?

I learned that without self-awareness, those automatic
reactions run the show.

Working with a coach helped me understand my values,
strengths, and tendencies, and just as importantly,
where I might get in my own way.

That awareness enabled me to pause before reacting.
To put the right mitigations in place.

And to show up calm, steady, and optimistic for my team
even in the middle of real challenges.

Because the higher your self-awareness, the better
you can modulate your behavior.

Not by faking it.

But by leading authentically, in a way that helps both you
and your team face the challenge.

What’s your default mode under pressure?
And how are you preparing yourself to lead through it?

Want a teammate to help hone your awareness so you
can show up as the steady point your team needs?

Reach out. I’d love to team up.
